Here we track the New York Jets roster as they cut down from 90 players to 53 players in preparation for the 2018 regular season.

It’s time New York Jets fans. Time for the Jets along with the rest of the NFL to cut their rosters from 90 players to 53. The deadline is 4 PM EST on Saturday afternoon.

Who is going to stay, and who is gone? We have it right here. Many will be players that were expected to be cut. Some will be surprise cuts. Some players that will remain will surprise you.

Right here we will keep a running list on who has been cut:

Here are the additional moves that were made:

dark. Next. Observations from the preseason finale

One of the big surprises on this list is Luvu. He was a guy that did some time with the starters during training camp. He wasn’t flashy but he seemed to make an impression.

Walford is another surprise. He flashed, especially with his chemistry with Sam Darnold He was proving to be an able-bodied weapon for a young quarterback.

Hansen should have been a good sign for Tre McBride who outplayed him all throughout camp. However, McBride is out now too. That one is odd as he more than deserved an active spot.

Most of this group has played out as expected other than those two.

The suspensions allow the team to take a bit more time in deciding upon these players. It’s no surprise that Donahue is gone. Between the DWI charges and his performance on the field he has given the team no reason to wait.

Remember this can all change on Sunday when the waiver claims come in, so stay tuned.

Stay tuned as this will be updated as the cuts come in.
