The Buffalo Bills’ preseason concluded with a wild comeback to beat the Bears in Chicago. However, what is more important is how it sets team up for the regular season. So, which players saved their jobs this week?

The Buffalo Bills will have some very tough decisions to make come September 1. This preseason may have ended on a high note but the team is still a mess in many aspects. A few players, however, did shine bright with the time they had. We will tell you who.

The Bills end the preseason with a .500 record. Take that with a pinch of salt though because it took a miracle to win the last and the Bills dropped a dud in the one that was most important.

But, with all things considered, the preseason is not about wins or losses. It is about making those final few tweaks to the roster and finding out how to get every ounce of talent organized for the regular season.

For a Buffalo Bills team this is something unique. Sure, every team needs to the preseason., but few did like the Bills. Why?

Because it it rare to find a team that is coming off a playoff season yet so many changes too.

The Bills are coming into 2018 with a new offensive coordinator, a new rookie QB, and new faces on the defensive side.

There is more but those are the biggest. So, it is rare for an NFL team to be coming off a playoff season and still do some things that show direction of a rebuild.

That is why the Bills have to get this 53 man roster absolutely right for Week 1. It would not look ideal for GM Brandon Beane or Coach Sean McDermott if the team is terrible this year.

So, now that the preseason is over, let’s decide on five players, who were not locks to make the roster, that will end up being there for Week 1.

Let’s start with one who no one thought would even be on the bubble, but is.
