New York Jets: Three players who need a big performance on Thursday
Here are three players for the New York Jets that need to have a big performance on Thursday night against the Philadelphia Eagles.
We are coming right down to it, folks. Tomorrow night is the final game of the preseason for the New York Jets. It’s cut down time after that, all the way down to 53 by Sunday afternoon at 4 PM EST.
It’s the annual battle for I-95 as the Jets take on their friends to the south, the Philadelphia Eagles.
We know how this game goes. The starters don’t play at all. Some of the Jets starters might play a few reps, according to the coach. But don’t expect to see Sam Darnold. This will be the Teddy Bridgewater show.
This is the night that we watch the players that are vying for positions on the back half of the roster. Depth pieces are the order of the night in preseason week number four.
That’s not to say that we never hear from these players again. Danny Woodhead always came to prominence during the Eagles game, earning him the nickname “Eagle Killer”. It’s a night for players to get some film out there for their own coaches as well as coaches around the league.
Tonight we are going to look at three players that need to have a big performance in the game. These are bubble players that could earn their spot with a solid performance against the Eagles. Let’s get right to it.
