The New York Yankees are at a point in the season where they need to roll their sleeves up and fight for every single game they can. However, Aaron Boone is far from the problem the Yankees will face.

The New York Yankees have some of the most passionate fans in sports. It totally makes sense to be quick to call for heads when the standard for winning was created in the confines of Yankee Stadium.

However, for the life of me, I do not understand the recent bashful Aaron Boone rhetoric. Just to throw in there, he is a rookie manager who has his team 30 games over .500.

That fact alone should get him off the leash a little bit. Would you all rather have him have the Yankees where the Nationals are with their rookie manager?

It is one thing to judge Boone for some things. His misuse of the bullpen is often problematic and his lineups, more specifically, his logic of those lineups is typically random and off.

However, to say that Boone is doing a bad job is not right. He is doing fine.

One, his team is in the playoffs and if not for a historically excelling Red Sox team there could be a division race right now.

Another thing is we have to understand why Boone was even hired in the first place. Unlike Joe Girardi, the payers are going to want to play for Boone.

Girardi got canned for mistakes in the playoffs and simply being beyond his era. He was not going to update his managerial tactics to acclimate to the young talent, at least he was not going to do so successfully.

What the Yankees needed is a manager to go out there and let the players play. It is simple. The Yankees are so young and talented that they need some discipline but also someone who will not micromanage and make them uncomfortable.

Girardi began to make them feel uncomfortable. So, if you disliked him, liking Boone should be easy.

Plus, it is only fair to consider that most of the Yankees players have been with the current core of players even longer than Boone has. He is not even done with his first full season of managing.

It is crazy that this is even an issue right now. The Yankees are under a lot of pressure down the stretch, I get that.  But, Boone will not be the main reason they win or lose in the playoffs.

The Yankees can be in any game with one swing of the bat anyway considering they lead the league in home runs. Their ability to hit clutch home runs will help negate any minor mistakes Boone potentially makes.

When the time comes to blame Aaron Boone for a big-picture mistake, then, by all means, call for his job. But, right now, the Yankees are rolling. That is after they were in a slump that Boone helped them get out of.

But, when it comes to this Yankees team it will be the talent that does it all.

As long as Boone, who likely won’t, does not mess up so badly that the Yankees find themselves down by 10 runs in a playoff game, then he should be appreciated.

He is getting a lot of out his talented players. The Yankees do not have Aaron Judge, Didi Gregorius, and Gary Sanchez right now and are still rolling with a lot of backups playing every day.

They are finally getting some starting pitching coming around and will be just fine. Just do what Boone does and you will be a happy Yankee fan. Do not micromanage Boone. He does not micromanage his players so don’t do it to him.

It is way too early to say Boone is doing a bad job. If you’re one of those, stop the bashful rhetoric.

If Boone wins the World Series then what happens? Will you still be upset because they did not win the World Series harder?

Boone has the Yankees right where he should. Until the season ends because of something that he 100% controls, then he should be getting credit for the job he has done. It is still not even September yet.
