New York Knicks: Way too-early 2019 Draft Prospects
The 2018-19 NBA Season has yet to start, neither has the 2018-19 NCAA Basketball Season. But, who says we can’t take a look at possible prospects for the 2019 NBA Draft?
The 2018-19 NCAA Basketball Season has yet to start, but it already looks like the 2019 NBA Draft could be one of the strongest we’ve seen in years. So, many great players at every single position and the New York Knicks could benefit in a large way from just that.
The 2018-19 Draft could see big names such as RJ Barrett, Zion Williamson, Nassir Little, Cam Reddish, Bol Bol, Darius Garland, Romeo Langford, Tre Jones, Shareef O’Neal and so many more. Based on just those names alone you can see that this draft has the opportunity to turn a franchise around no matter where they are picking.
If the Knicks play their cards right this season based on the events that have happened the past few weeks, it is very possible that they end up with a top ten pick and more than likely a lottery pick.
With Kristaps Porzingis out for a large portion of the season in 2018-19 and no solid upgrade from last season when they went 29-53, it is highly unlikely that we see a playoff team on the court this season.
Even with the Eastern Conference being as weak as it is now, it is highly unlikely we see the Knicks win more than 35-40 games.
However, if Kristaps Porzingis comes back sooner than expected, Trey Burke picks up where he left off, Kevin Knox joins the Rookie of the Year conversation and a few other circumstances occur, we could see a playoff team in New York.
But if these things do not happen, it is highly unlikely the Knicks make the playoffs. So with that being said lets look at a way too early list of potential prospects for the 2019 NBA Draft.
