The Brooklyn Nets are not getting much love this NBA silly season as all the rumors are already pointing stars to New York’s other team. However, Kyrie  Irving to the Nets makes a lot of sense too.

The Brooklyn Nets have not really had the capital to be big spenders the past few seasons. However, they have used this offseason to potentially set themselves up pretty for the future.

So, one of the Nets future pieces could be Kyrie Irving and it makes more sense than you might think.

Of course all the rumors are swirling already that Kyrie wants to be a Knick when he becomes a free agent next summer, but that does not mean the Nets should just give up on what become a massive sweepstakes to get him.

Not is only is Kyrie from the area, and the Nets played in his home state of New Jersey when we was growing up, the Nets give him more options than the Knicks may have in terms of how big of a role he would play on the team.

The Knicks already have a ton of guards on the roster, albeit they might not pan out, but there is a lot of potential.

Plus, the Knicks are not going to able to stay away from other free agents in that class like the Nets would, for the Nets all it takes is convincing one to join.

So, aside from the reasons he might not go the Knicks, let’s give three reasons why him signing with the Nets makes a lot of sense. This is all hypothetical of course.
