Three On the Decline

The Jets need their starting offensive line healthy. I never missed Brian Winters more than I did on Thursday night watching Jonotthan Harrison step in to play right guard.

Harrison was beaten for sack of Sam Darnold by Daron Payne. It wasn’t a coverage sack either, he got beaten quite badly by Payne. If these types of plays are going to happen, it won’t matter who the quarterback is, they are going to get killed.

Luvu was a player that was earning playing time with solid play during camp. He was running with the starting defense at Florham Park at times and got some time with them on Thursday night.

That time did not go well as Luvu posted two unnecessary penalties. One was a roughing the passer call and the other was the new helmet rule.

Todd Bowles and company are not going to be happy with a player extending drives for the opponent by being reckless. Luvu had better clean that up.

Next. Three takeaways vs Redskins. dark

This is a player that enters this list simply by doing nothing at all.

The injuries to the tight ends have been well documented. Simply put, nobody other than Clive Walford has been in the lineup consistently enough to make an impact on the race for the roster spot.

Leggett came off of his injury and saw his first game action on Thursday night in Washington. Finally he was going to get the chance to show what he could do.

Unfortunately he didn’t record a single catch. The player has to actually do something if they expect the coaches to notice them.

Time is running out for Leggett.
