Resurrection

This offseason is far from Janoris Jenkins‘ first rodeo, but he needs a great offseason and needs this new start just about as much as anybody.

Apparently, Jenkins has looked great during camp and is becoming the corner who helped lead the Giants to the playoffs just two short years ago.

But after turning heads for both the wrong and right reasons the last few seasons, Jenkins could use this Lions game to remind every one of his talent. That is it.

How a player looks physically and how well he displays his ability is all that matters in the pre-season.

Honestly, he might not get thrown at a lot to even be able to compile stats, but stats don’t matter in pre-season. On Friday night, Jenkins can turn some heads and show glimpses of him reverting back to being a shutdown corner.

The Giants defense is changing up schemes and will be going back to what is more familiar for a lot of players. So, the whole secondary will be looking to get back to where it was.

But, out of all the defense, aside from maybe Eli Apple, Jenkins has the most to prove and must show that his ability trumps all.

The Giants’ staff already has the guys who they know to look out for. This Lions game is going to do wonders for a lot of players.

Hopefully, some of the players mentioned turn some heads and new players continue to show their worth to the New York Giant blue.
