Buffalo Bills: Three things to know ahead of game vs the Browns
The Buffalo Bills return to the gridiron to play the Cleveland Browns in Ohio. Week 2 of the NFL pre-season is capable of getting interesting. But, here are just three things to know ahead of Friday’s game.
The Buffalo Bills and the Cleveland Browns will play each other in this pre-season matchup right after an entire offseason of making moves with each other.
The Cleveland Browns won their first game in a while after beating the New York Giants a little over a week ago.
As for the Buffalo Bills, they are coming off a game where the starters looked solid before things unraveled as the game at home vs the Carolina Panthers progressed resulting in a loss.
Now, it is a fresh start as the Bills head to Ohio to play the Browns on national television.
This should be a great matchup, regardless of the fact that it is pre-season. These two teams always manage to have an interesting outing.
Anyway, let’s get right into the list of things to know ahead of this one.
It’s not about Tyrod or any specific player
Let us address the inevitable. Yes, this is the first game the Buffalo BIlls have played against the team they traded their quarterback too this offseason.
That is right, you probably heard the news, Tyrod Taylor is a Cleveland Brown after taking the Bills the farthest he possibly could last year.
The man who ran the offense for the team that ended the longest playoff drought in North American sports last season apparently did not do enough to keep his job with the Bills.
However, the toxic relationship and bitter end Tyrod had with the Bills is over and done with. Even the redemption story for Corey Coleman who mine as well just been handed to the Bills from Cleveland in the teams’ most recent trade. Is not worth the attention anymore.
This is not about Jordan Poyer who also use to play for the Browns either. This is simply a football game showcasing two new-look teams who are trying to use each other to assess themselves.
That is it. It is time to move on from Tyrod and that saga. It is time to just get Coleman into his role with the Bills and not worry about how little the Bills got him for.
This is about the 2018 Cleveland Browns and the 2018 Buffalo Bills. No individual should get in the way of that. It is two teams playing in a game. Nothing more. Nothing less.
