New York Giants: Week 6 Opponent overview, matchups and prediction
How does the Giants defense stack up against the Eagles offense?
The Philadelphia Eagles have one of, if not the strongest offense in the league.
Carried by a young quarterback in Carson Wentz, who looks to be one of the up and coming stars in the league, the Eagles are very powerful.
Even when Wentz went down in Week 14 of last season, the birds managed to get by and still scored over 30 points in the game when he went down against the Rams. They managed the same feat the next week against the Giants.
So, if they still manage to get by without one of the better quarterbacks in the league, how can they be stopped?
With weapons such as Alshon Jeffery and newly acquired Mike Wallace, what can the Giants do to slow down the Eagles?
The Giants secondary is going to have to step up in a large way in Week 6 because if they don’t, the Giants do not stand much of a chance.
If Landon Collins, Janoris Jenkins, and the rest of the Giants secondary can’t keep the game in front of them it will be another tough game for the G-Men.
The Eagles have weapons all over though, not just weapons through the air. Late in October of last year the Eagles made their offense even stronger when they added running back Jay Ajayi to their offense.
In seven regular season games with the Eagles last season, Ajayi went for 408 rushing yards helping the Eagles win the NFC East and then eventually the Super Bowl.
In 2018, Ajayi will be looking to improve upon his 2017 mark in his first full season with the Eagles.
Behind an offensive line with players such as Jason Kelce, Stefen Wisniewski, Jason Peters, and more, there is a good chance Ajayi does just that.
