There have been rumors that James Dolan might sell the New York Knicks. However, he reiterated on Thursday that the Knicks aren’t for sale.

It’s hard to be a fan of the New York Knicks since they have struggled for many years. Knicks fans are tried of their team losing and want the team to do something that will make them having winning seasons instead of losing seasons.

Sorry, Knicks fans, but if you wanted owner James Dolan out it’s not happening.

There has been speculation that Dolan might sell the Knicks and the New York Rangers, which he also owns.

More from Empire Writes Back

In June, Dolan said that he was exploring a spin-off that would separate the Knicks and Rangers from the rest of Madison Square Garden, according to Aaron Elstein of Crain’s New York.

However, in a appearance on Fox 5 New York’s Good Day on Thursday, Dolan said that the Knicks aren’t for sale.

“No, we’re not going to sell,” he said.

Honestly, I’m not surprised that Dolan isn’t selling the Knicks. I mean why should he sell the team?

The Knicks are the most valued team in the NBA at $3.6 billion, according to Forbes. So why give up the most valuable team in the NBA?

However, Dolan is one of, if not the worst, owners in the NBA. If he’s not going to sell the Knicks, then he should leave his job as someone who makes big decisions because he has been a disgrace to the Knicks.

In February, Dolan got into an altercation with former Knicks star Charles Oakley. Oakley ended up agreeing to stay away from the Garden for a year as part of a dismissal deal.

Dolan stood by former Knicks coach and executive Isiah Thomas when he was accused of sexual harassment. That ended up costing Dolan $11.6 million in punitive damages, according to Zach Braziller of the New York Post.

Then there’s the Phil Jackson experiment. People thought that the “Zen master” could help turn things around. So, Dolan hired Jackson.

However, Jackson failed to turn the Knicks into a winning team, so I guess you could blame Dolan for hiring Jackson when he shouldn’t have.

Next. How good will the Knicks be by Christmas?. dark

The Knicks have two new stars in rookies Kevin Knox and Mitchell Robinson. While we don’t know how they’ll do in the upcoming season, one thing we know is that James Dolan will be there which is not ideal for Knicks fans.
