Big opponents early on

The Brooklyn Nets officially open the regular season in what’s expected to be a lackluster game vs the Pistons in Michigan. However, the Nets’ stretch of about the next 10 games or so after that gets interesting.

On October 28, the Nets will host the NBA Champion Golden State Warriors. The Warriors are a huge draw and that will draw a good crowd at Barclay’s center. It is only the sixth game of the season but already one of the biggest.

The day after that, on Monday night, the Nets cross borough’s to go play the Knicks. That will already be the teams’ second meeting of the year following an October 19 game in Brooklyn, the Nets’ second game of the year.

In addition to hosting the champs and playing their rivals twice in six games, the Nets will also see the Pacers, Cavs, Rockets, and Sixers all before the 15th game of the season.

In total, that is six playoff teams from last year all in the first 10 games of the year.

The Brooklyn Nets’ schedule will only get easier as the year goes on because there is a good chunk of games where the Nets don’t really have as many opponents that quality, that many times in a row after the first three weeks.

important games vs great teams happen early on in the Nets’ schedule. It’ll be a good test for young but gritty Nets.
