The New York Giants open up their 2018 pre-season against the Cleveland Browns at MetLife Stadium. Despite it being the first game, there are plenty of storylines to follow.

The New York Giants are coming off what is an out of character season after a 3-13 2017 campaign.

However, things can only get better in 2018 and the Giants are capable of having one of the biggest turnarounds we have ever seen. It all starts with these important pre-season reps. Even if it just a series or two for the guys who will be starting, its good to learn anything.

So, the Giants have a lot of work to do despite already making a lot of improvements. They bolstered their offense at almost every position and their defensive scheme changed.

Although it is likely that any of these changes will become apparent in Thursday night’s game vs the Browns, it is imperative that the Giants still try something.

The Giants need this pre-season more than the average team so all the new coaches can get some fine tuning and they can finish off the final roster for September’s opener.

The Giants’ current issues or storylines might go deep into the regular season, but they will still affect the upcoming game vs the Browns.

So, let’s just get right into the first story line. It’s one of the hottest in all of sports.
