There might only be a handful of New York Sports teams who are currently in the heart of their regular seasons. However, there are still awesome things happening all across New York sports right now.

New York sports never stop. There are always so many dramatic storylines going on. With immense media and fan coverage, there never really is an offseason. However, sometimes some teams, players, or situations are more prevalent than others.

There are a lot of things going on right now. Including but not limited to the MLS regular season, MLB season, NFL training camp, and NBA silly season.

So, the beginning of August can be a wild time. Instead of getting into everything that is happening, let’s narrow it down to three awesome things that are happening in The Big Apple right now.

Let’s start with the Mets.

Cheap Mets Tickets

This is something that is not awesome in context but awesome on the surface. As of Monday afternoon, Mets tickets, for a game at Citi Field were going for as little as $6.

Honestly, the New York Mets have been awful for a while this season so the Mets being bad is just part of the norm. It is not awesome but expected. However, there is a silver lining to everything.

Being able to go to a Mets game for $6 is a pretty sweet gig. Who doesn’t love a good ball game?

Even though the product is bad it’s hard to complain about going to a Major League baseball game for that price. The Mets are so lovable so it does not matter.

The tickets are likely to remain that price all year too with a few exceptions.

You could go to a New York Sports stadium pay for admission, refreshments, parking, and maybe a souvenir or two and not spend more than $50. Those days are hard to come by now.

The Mets are just trying to put butts in the seats. Tim Tebow is out for the season so really cheap tickets and giveaways are the only things that will really help.

Plus, Jacob deGrom is still worth paying for. Noah Syndergaard is going to be out there. Even Zack Wheeler is becoming worth it. It’s not like there are zero reasons to watch.

Cheap Mets tickets is a pretty awesome thing. There are still plenty of home games too. It’s not the best team that plays at Citi Field right now but for the price, it’s a good time to go.

Plus, when the Mets are officially good again, which history shows will be nine-15 years, you can say you were there this year.

Really any baseball can enjoy that experience. Its not awesome why the tickets are so cheap but awesome that Citi Field is affordable to all. Hopefully, everyone can make it now.
