The New Jersey Devils are coming off a historic season and must maintain their road to success in the upcoming season. So, what should the Devils expect in the 2018-2019 season?

The New Jersey Devils and their fans probably never wanted the 2017-2018 season to end. They overcome what felt like a franchise load of adversity in such a short time and snuck themselves into the playoffs.

despite only winning one playoff game, and getting knocked out in the first round, it is impossible to find any flaws in the Devils’ season. Well, considering their expectations going into it.

Most people did not know what to expect from the Devils last season. But, there was a lot of question marks and negativity in terms of how the season would go.

Well, they proved everyone wrong and had a season that ended a playoff drought and produced the MVP of the entire NHL so it worked out.

Therefore, they made the expectations for this season a lot clearer. We sort of know what we have in the Devils now and although there is still not a lot of pressure to repeat what could have been a fluke playoff berth, there is more optimism than negativity.

So, how will the Devils fare in 2018-2019, just one season after having a lot of things go wrong, but in the end ultimately right for them? Only time will tell.

However, there are still certain expectations to hold them to. Let’s start with an important one.
