Dynamic Offense

More from Empire Writes Back

Yes that is a bit vague but I will explain what I mean.

The Jets have four wide receivers on the roster that have a season of at least 800 yards on their resume.

Despite what the national media believes that is a talented group. It shouldn’t matter that they aren’t household names. They will be.

Whether you are a big fan of Isaiah Crowell or not, the Jets now have a room full of running backs that have performed well.

Even Thomas Rawls, who many don’t expect a lot out of, has an 830 yard season to his credit with an average of over five yards per carry.

The offensive line, a group we have talked about a lot, has the potential to be much better than people think.

Spencer Long is going to make this group a whole lot better. The interior line play is going to surprise everyone and make the running game closer to what it has been in the past.

Whoever is playing quarterback is going to get the chance to play a little bit. This is not going to be a true “Ground and Pound”. According to Rich Cimini of ESPN, Josh McCown is the fallback option and that Sam Darnold or Teddy Bridgewater are the preferred starters.

Darnold likely starts from the jump unless he isn’t close. They haven’t held anything back for him yet and Jeremy Bates won’t start. As the chemistry grows look for him to push the football down the field. There will be mistakes but the offense will be dynamic.

That’s for sure.
