Wide Receivers and Tight Ends

Note: We will only review wide receivers and tight ends expected to play a role on offense.

  • Robby Anderson: 84

    • If Anderson can keep his nose out of trouble and on the field this should prove to be an excellent rating. He proved his worth on the field last season, coming just short of 1,000 yards receiving. Anderson blows the top off of the defense which is why his speed and acceleration ratings are both over 90.
  • Jermaine Kearse: 83

    • Kearse became a favorite target of Josh McCown, posting a career high 65 receptions last season. His 88 catch rating, second on the team to Anderson, reflects his reliability. Being that 2017 marked both a career high in receptions and yards (810), the rating is far. He never eclipsed 700 yards prior to 2017.
  • Quincy Enunwa: 79

    • There isn’t much to say on this one other than the fact that this number is too low. The fact that Enunwa missed all of 2017 is the only thing bringing it down. The ascension path he was on following the 2016 season deserves a rating, even without last year, of maybe an 80 or an 81. This rating will likely rise during the season.
  • Terrelle Pryor: 75

    • Ultimately this rating is reasonable. Yes he is only two years removed from a 1,000 yard season, but that was his only 1,000 yard season. That and his injury legitimizes this rating. Hopefully Pryor will give reason for it to rise.
  • ArDarius Stewart: 74

    • This rating seems a bit high considering Stewart only caught six passes last season. It comes up a bit because he is a dual threat, with seven rushes to his credit.
  • Chad Hansen: 69

    • Hansen is a guy that may see this rating go up, as he has had a good spring. He caught the ball nine times last year and his route running has improved. If he gets his chance in 2018 he will make the best of it.
  • Clive Walford: 73

    • It’s no shock that Walford is the highest rated tight end on the roster, being the only one with a bit of a career under his belt. As basically a third string TE he posted back to back 300+ yards and three touchdowns in 2015-2016. He is a dark horse to make this roster and potentially see that rating rise.
  • Jordan Leggett: 71

    • Leggett is a guy with the most upside and should, as long as he is healthy, see this rating go way up. He hasn’t had the chance to show it yet so the 71 is fair at the moment.
  • Christopher Herndon: 69

    • Nothing wrong with slating Herndon at a 69. He is a rookie and one that has already gotten into legal trouble.
  • Eric Tomlinson: 71

    • Tomlinson flashed in the passing game last season, averaging over 15 yards per pass reception. He is better known for his ability as a blocker, however, which is going to keep his rating to a medium at best. 71 is just fine.
