The MLB All-Star rosters were announced and the New York Yankees get four players named to the mid-summer classic next week. But, it is not just the number of players but the different ways they got here.

The New York Yankees get four players selected to the All-Star game set to happen on July 17th at Nationals Park. All four of these players are deserving candidates. The sections go as followed

We know what all these players provide on the field. The Yankees might have the most talented team in all of baseball.

But, the cool thing here is that the Yanks have all-stars in the eyes of almost everyone.

More from Empire Writes Back

Judge won the fan vote and will start the game. The fan vote is exclusively fans so it is great to see a deserving player like Judge get the love from the masses that he deserves. This is the second straight season he wins the fan vote.

It is likely he was going to be an All-Star one way or another. But it must still be encouraging for Yankee fans to have a guy get voted in by the fans. Aaron Judge is a superstar.

As for Glyeber Torres, he is deserving too. He is another future star of this team and plenty of future fan votes are coming his way. However, to be named a reserve by players and his peers is quite the honor it is difficult to not see the talent he has.

Torres was really high up on the fan vote as well so it makes sense he is in even if it’s not as a starter.

Aroldis Chapman is also put in the game by his peers but gets to do something cool with the Yankees as well. It his first selection with the Bronx Bombers but also his first in the American League. He made four prior with the Reds.

Chapman is having himself quite the season but he has been great in both league. He is really a special player to be able to pull off such a unique feat only the greats really can.

Luis Severino is on his way to his second All-Star game. He is likely to win the Cy Young too. There is even a chance he starts the game now. He deserves the start but AL manager AJ Hinch might give it to an Astro.

Either way, Severino is a pitcher in the game and also get the respect he deserves earning a starting pitching slot on the roster.

Overall, it is not only the fact that the Yankees have four all-star selections, it is interesting how they fill out four different rosters spots (OF, IN, SP, RP.)

The Yanks got respect from the fans, coaches, and players. We will be able to see Yankees players coming onto the field at all different points in the actual game.

It is also likely that the Yankees get Giancarlo Stanton into the game through the Final Fan Vote. If that happens, it is another impressive way a Yankee gets into the game.

As if it does not get any better, with all the injuries and players choosing not to play, other Yankee players could get in as replacements. That is where Didi Gregorius or Miguel Andujar stand a minor chance of making it to DC in the coming days.

The New York Yankees are representing New York well in the MLB All-Star game. They are a phenomenal team and deserve to be. It is always a nostalgia trip to watch it.

But, the fashion in all the selections went down during the process is impressive. Great players all over the board.
