The MLS All-Star team is set and the New York Red Bulls have more sections than all but one team with three of their guys heading to Atlanta in August.

The New York Red Bulls are turning a lot of heads this season and putting the league on notice. Now, the Red Bulls will have three players selected to the All-Star team.

Aaron Long, Bradley Wright-Phillips, and Amir Murillo are the three players who get to put their skills to the test against Italian soccer giants Juventus in the game.

The Red Bulls have the second most players out of any team. Only the host Atlanta United have more due to their fan support in the fan vote.

Now, the Red Bulls and their deep roster are getting some respect. It is hard to complain about this honor for these deserving player but I would still argue the Red Bulls have even more players who should have made the team.

Goalkeeper Luis Robles has done his job well. Star player like Tyler Adams continues to be one of the best soccer players in the country let alone MLS, and Tim Parker on defense is a huge reason for the Red Bulls’ success.

However, the sour grapes can be for another day because it is still huge for the Red Bulls to have these many players honored. There are often times where they will get none.

The MLS All-Star game is a rare spectacle. MLS is the only league where the All-Stars don’t play against each other. But getting all these players selected is still something to celebrate.

The narrative with the Red Bulls is that every year they start off well and then they never win in the end. Although that is tough to argue generally, it is nice to see that change a little bit this year.

It is justified to see this rare accomplishment by the team. This is not like any of the other Red Bull teams we have seen, they have some more talent. The All-Star nominations prove it.

As for the players, Murillo and Long make their first All-Star games. As for the MLS legend, BWP, he makes his second. He even scored in the match the last time he played.

The Red Bulls are going to be a big talking point going into and during All-Star weekend. They will be everywhere and deserve it.

The timing of the news this weekend is huge too as they prepare to face the reigning champion but struggling Toronto FC on Sunday.

The Red Bull players can not only further prove their nominations, but the entire club has the chance to keep putting the league on notice.
