Leonard Fournette

Leonard Fournette lived up to the hype he entered the league with last year. He was compared to Adrian Peterson and even to Bo Jackson. Some bumps and bruises kept him out of three games, but in 13 starts he rushed for 1,090 yards and nine touchdowns. He also showed his explosiveness, leading the league with a 90 yard rush as his long for the year.

He dominated the Pittsburgh Steelers, rushing for 181 yards in a regular season contest and for 109 yards in the divisional playoffs. Averaging 80 yards per game as a rookie is no small accomplishment. He also proved himself to be an able-bodied receiver, catching 36 passes out of the backfield for 302 yards and a touchdown.

Fournette played well against the Jets in their one meeting last year. He ran it 24 times for 86 yards and added a touchdown through the air on four pass receptions. He is a tough man to bring down and the Jaguars were almost able to bring down the Patriots last year. Look for Leonard Fournette to get even better and that could mean trouble for a young Jets defense.

Nathan Shepherd and friends will have his hands full.
