The New Jersey Devils are another team with immense success. They had a core together that was strong all the top-guys won a championship for the market. Except for Zach Parise.

Say what you want about the New Jersey Devils but they are historically one of the most successful teams we cover here at Empire Writes Back.

Their team’s core of legends all was able to win multiple championships and even built a reign of greatness one could consider a dynasty.

The Zach Parise-Devils relationship might have had a bitter ending after he sold out to go play for his hometown team but he did a lot while wearing the red, white, and black.

Not only did he lead what is this writers favorite Devils team of all-time to an Eastern Conference title back in 2012, he wore the Devils uniform well for years.

All-Star appearances, top 10 in the league in scoring seasons, a Stanley Cup appearance, he did a lot in not a lot of time for the Devils.

He is one of the few players to ever be named a captain and is still an underrated player. Perhaps his lack of accomplishments in Minnesota is bitter-sweet for the Devils faithful but they shall never forget how good Parise was for the Devils.

Parise is still an active player, and crazy things happen in the NHL literally every season so it is not completely crazy to think Parise won’t come back and help the Devils re-hoist the Cup.

However, that is highly unlikely. Zach Parise is the best Devil to never win a championship and bring one to this market. It really is a shame, he was two games away that one season.

An honorable mention is Adam Henrique.

Up next, let’s tackle the Island!
