Y.A. Tittle does not only have a great name but a great legacy. He is an all-time great Giant. It just so happens he never technically won a championship.

Y.A. Tittle did great things for the New York Giants franchise. He arguably is the man who put them on the map in the NFL and the city.

He is one of, if not the best quarterbacks of his generation. Tittle bounced around a lot but his best years were as a member of big blue.

He did lead the Giants to three straight championship games in the early 1960s. That is something impressive. However, he was unsuccessful in all of those games.

His Giants tenured is short-lived. It only lasted for four seasons. But from 1961-1964 the Giants were immensely successful in a growing league.

Regardless of never winning the ultimate prize Giants fans still know he was the first big superstar for a generation of fans.

His name and number are in the Giants’ Ring of Honor. His name is right there along with all the other Giants greats who have won a title.

Tittle paved the way for those guys. It’s not his fault so many of the great Giants ended up with a Super Bowl eventually. It’s part of being a great team year after year.

Anyway, Tittle was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame before the Giants ever won a Super Bowl.

It is a shame he never won a title as a member of big blue. This does not mean he is not one of the best to ever play for them. It is just a fact.

Tiki Barber is an honorable mention.

Up next, we will go across the hall to the Jets.
