New York Sports: Best player from each team to never win a championship

New York City sports and their teams are truly something to appreciate. There are so many legends and championships in this town, however, if you do not win a championship, you might not make a name here.

New York sports teams are under so much pressure that success must come to last a while. Although most teams currently have long championship droughts, almost every team we cover here at Empire Writes back has won a championship at some point.

So, we know all the big names who have won championships but there are a lot of all-time greats who have never took home a title to New York.

There are plenty of other cities with no championships. However, since most New York teams have a lot, all the city’s biggest legends emerge because of it. That does not mean we should forget about some of the greatest players to ever call New York Home.

Since Alex Ovechkin just won the Stanley Cup, he is no longer one of the greatest athletes to never bring his city a title.

So, it got me thinking, who are some of the best New York athletes to never win a title in New York? This list is not in any order but there is one for each team. Some players may have won the ultimate prize elsewhere, just not in the “Big Apple.”

These athletes, in my opinion, are the best to never win titles in New York City. There are some honorable mentions but these are the best.

This list might not surprise anyone because New York fans know greatness when they see it. So, this could be considered a list of all the other great things these players did for the market.
