The New York Giants might be in the least hectic part of their offseason right now. But, that does not mean the Mara family are not up to big things. At the Belmont Stakes, Chris Mara’s horse, Justify, won the Triple Crown.

New York Giants Vice Presidents of player personnel, Chris Mara, is not only trying to win on the football field but at the race tracks too.

Mara not only owns one of the most prolific football franchises in the country, he is also part owner of the country’s most popular animal right now.

On Saturday evening, in the beautiful Belmont Park, history was made. Justify completed the Triple Crown. The horse did it pretty easily too.

All respect goes to the horse. Also, shout out to the middle-aged jockey who rode him there. But, let’s not forget something cool that happened for Chris Mara as well.

Not only is Mara the VP of player personnel for the Giants, he is also a Super Bowl champion. Now, he is also a Triple Crown winner.

The Mara family is continuing to make rounds in some of the biggest spectacles in sports. Not only is Chris the brother of Giants owner John Mara, his daughter Kate is an actress. She starred in movies like the Fantastic Four and The Martian.

But this story gets better. The horse that came in second, named “Gronkowski”, is partly owned by the Patriots’ Rob Gronkowski.

The Giants are continuing to beat the Patriots on and off the field.

But, for the Mara family to say they have won the Super Bowl and horse racing’s Triple Crown is something few people on this planet can say.

Sometimes, things just work out for people. Whether its crazy genetics or an unfathomable work ethic, the Mara family continues to take things over.

Next: OBJ to be cleared soon?

The New York Giants and the horse have no correlation in terms of actual performance. It is the tale of two sports, two impressive accomplishments, but just one family.
