It is that time of the year New York Sports fans it is Subway Series weekend! There are few things better in this city than Mets vs Yankees baseball in the summer.

The Subway Series is always a blast. It means so much to both teams, fans, and the city. It is the perfect mixture of bragging rights, fun, pride, and baseball that feels important.

Although the New York Mets continue to be the worst team in baseball over the last two months this is still something for the blue and orange to look forward to.

The “evil empire” in the New York Yankees continue to destroy everything in their path. They are winning games constantly and look well on their way to the pennant.

It has been years since the Mets and Yanks have been this far apart in terms of performance. But, despite all that, it is still going to be a fun series to watch and will feel special regardless.

We all know about the iconic moments this series has had. The Luis Castillo dropped ball. Roger Clemens throwing the bat at Mike Piazza. The 2000 World Series.

These moments are legendary and deserve to be talked about year after year whenever these two teams meet.

However, there are a ton of moments in this matchup that might not get the respect they deserve in terms of reminiscing about the matchup.

So, let me talk about my three favorite moments in the Subway Series that are underrated in terms of remembrance.
