Here are three top moments in Subway Series history for the New York Mets.

It’s time once again for the Subway Series. Every year the battle of New York takes place both at Citi Field and at Yankee Stadium. Tonight it begins between the New York Mets and the New York Yankees from Citi Field as Jacob deGrom takes on Masahiro Tanaka to open the three game set from Flushing, NY.

The rivalry renewed back in 1997 when interleague baseball was introduced to the sport. Through 21 years of these battles there have been some memorable moments on both sides. There have been dominant performances as well as walk off wins. There have been some fiery moments, and Mike Piazza will tell you all about them. Meetings between these two teams are no longer rare but they often bring up some fun and interesting moments.

On the morning of the new edition of the series, we are taking a look at the past from a Mets perspective. Specifically we are looking at three top moments from the history of the series. Since it’s a Mets report, don’t worry fans, Luis Castillo and a dropped pop up will not be on here. Only positives in favor of the Mets. Here they come, in no particular order.
