Montreal Canadiens

The Canadiens are not in the most ideal situation right now in terms of the whole being a good team thing. However, they are still the most recognizable brand in all of hockey.

Even though the last few superstar players to be around the Habs, like P.K Subban and digging even deeper to Patrick Roy, had bitter endings with the franchise, they were at least successful first.

Tavares could easily sign with them to make some money and play for a historically good franchise to try to bring them back to relevancy.

It is a great possibility that Tavares is done trying to revive franchises and that does make the Habs the a least likely destination but the Canadian born player might not mind taking on that kind of challenge. This time in his home country.

Perhaps being the most reputable team in the league historically is the only reason why Tavares could listen to an offer and end up landing in Montreal.
