Where could New York Islanders John  Tavares end up this offseason?

The New York Islanders, realistically, have two things to brag about the last few seasons. John Tavares and the new arena that was approved to be built in Belmont.

John Tavares is set to test the free agent market this summer. A player as talented as he is he deserves that. But the New York Islanders need to keep him at all costs.

If he does leave, the Islanders will only have that arena for their faithful to brag and it is not even ready yet.

But like any top player poised to test the tempting waters of the market, there comes thinking of where they might go and why.

Although all 31 teams could seemingly want and use John Tavares, not every team could afford him. Also, not every team would be the best fit.

Sure, wild things happen in hockey all the time. However, I’ve narrowed down his potential landing spots to just five teams.
