Week Thirteen: at Tennessee Titans

This game in Tennessee is very interesting. Marcus Mariota represents what the Jets hope Sam Darnold is going to become. The skill sets are somewhat similar although Darnold may have a bigger arm and Mariota may be faster with the legs. So this becomes the future for the Jets against what they hope the future looks like one of these days.

The Jets have had a tough time with the Titans down in the South. They have lost two out of the last three games played in Nashville. The Titans no longer have DeMarco Murray in the backfield but Derrick Henry is a tough guy to stop. Mariota has the wheels of a running back when healthy as well. As a passer he has improved each and every week. Marcus Mariota is an up and coming lethal weapon.

This ultimately will be a good game. The offenses are actually similar. Both have young quarterbacks with decent weapons. Darnold will play well in this game, but so will Mariota. I could see both defenses making some plays in this game, but in the end, players like the newly acquired Malcolm Butler will be too much for the rookie.

RESULT: LOSS
