Week Nine: at Miami Dolphins

More from Empire Writes Back

The second half of the season begins with the Jets down in Miami to complete the season series with the Dolphins. The Dolphins will be looking for revenge on their home turf as in the initial post, we have the Jets taking Miami down in the home opener. New York and Miami often have memorable games when they compete so don’t sleep on this one, no matter what the two teams records are when they enter week nine.

Playing in Miami could very well play into Sam Darnold’s hands. Playing in Southern California he often played in warm weather and sun. What do they get in Miami quite a bit? Warm weather and sun. This will be his second warm weather game of the season (at Jacksonville week three). However, the Dolphins defense isn’t as good as the Jacksonville defense so Darnold will have the opportunity to put up numbers here.

The Jets enter this game at 3-5, not out of it but needing to win games to keep the pace. This one will be a good one. New York has lost two in a row and will be looking to get off the deck. However, in the end the home team holds on and is victorious. It might take a late score to secure the game, but the Jets drop to 3-6 after this one.

RESULT: LOSS
