Week Two: vs. Miami Dolphins

The home schedule opens when the Dolphins come up to New York to take on the Jets. The home crowd is always fired up on opening week. It will be especially be fired up if Sam Darnold is under center. However, the Jets fans will be read to go no matter who is playing quarterback. It’s a new year and renewed excitement.

The Dolphins have talent but they lack a bit of direction. Even with Ryan Tannehill in the fold, there was talk of the Dolphins potentially drafting a quarterback. He was hurt last season so it isn’t clear the type of player he is going to be coming into 2018. They did acquire Bryce Petty who could potentially bring some insight into what the Jets do. That is if he makes the team, which if he performs like he did in New York, far from a guarantee.

The Dolphins defense will be weaker after the loss of Ndamukong Suh to the Rams. This should be a close one. Some how, games between these two teams are often close and have memorable moments. This date could be the first of many great memories for Sam Darnold. In the end, the Jets will be too much for the Dolphins. With the home crowd on their side, they find a way to get it done.

RESULT: WIN
