The New York Mets have a few good players in their 57 years in Major League Baseball, but let’s look at the ones who would make the best lineup in Mets history.

The New York Mets have had quite a roller coaster in their history. They’ve been to the World Series six times and fallen on their faces after making it there. 2016 was the first year in franchise history in which they made it to the playoffs after playing in the World Series the season before.

In addition to their six World Series appearances, they have been the laughingstock of the league at times. They have 31 sub-.500 seasons, which explains their all-time .480 winning percentage.

With all of that said, they still have had some amazing players come through Flushing. There have been spark plugs for the offense and defensive wizards; dominant pitchers and ones who can get you out without having to dominate. There have been terrible teams with terrible players, terrible teams with one or two good players, and a roster filled will talent that makes a playoff run.

Even the organizations that have not won the World Series a lot — like the Mets — have their bright spots. So let’s look at the nine guys who make this lineup.
