The 2018 NFL Draft has come and gone but the New York Giants still have a few needs that they have to address.

The New York Giants had a successful 2018 NFL Draft. They added the best player in the draft, Saquon Barkley, who should help balance out Big Blue’s offense and allow them to get back to running the ball. They added a first-round talent in Will Hernandez, who should immediately start at left guard, protecting Eli Manning and opening up holes for Barkley. Big Blue also added a pass rusher who should contribute as a rookie in Lorenzo Carter, a developmental quarterback with future starter potential in Kyle Lauletta, and a pair of defensive linemen who should help in the transition to a 3-4 defense in B.J. Hill and RJ McIntosh.

Although the Giants added six talented players, many of whom will contribute in 2018, they had quite a few holes to fill heading into the draft. General manager Dave Gettleman did a great job in his first NFL Draft in charge of Big Blue, but a few glaring needs still remain.

Now, the offseason is not over yet and there’s still time to address these needs. There are still free agents out there to be signed and teams will cut veterans throughout the offseason as they take chances on younger players. With just over $9.6 million remaining in cap space, according to spotrac.com, it may be difficult for the New York Giants to add an impact player at all three positions of need. However, these are the three areas Big Blue should focus on now that the NFL Draft is over.
