16. Jamarco Jones, OT, Ohio State

If the New York Giants wait until the third round to address their offensive tackle need, Jamarco Jones will be one of their better options. Jones has long arms and good upper body strength and he played left tackle for Ohio State. He’s not the best athlete but he’s proven he can get the job done.

17. James Washington, WR, Oklahoma State

James Washington is not the big-bodied receiver the Giants are looking for (5’11) but has ball tracking skills make him a red-zone threat. When he builds up to top speed, Washington can run by defenders and make big chunk plays. Washington can go up over defenders and come down with the ball and tracks the ball with the best of them.

18. Braden Smith, OG, Auburn

If the New York Giants miss out on Will Hernandez and James Daniels, they could solidify the interior of their offensive line with Braden Smith. Smith is all about power and uses his strength to move defenders. He’s built like an NFL lineman and could be a gritty starting guard at the next level.

19. Kemoko Turay, EDGE, Rutgers

The New York Giants need edge rushers and they could look right in their backyard to find one. Kemoko Turay is a great athlete and an explosive pass rusher. He has a high motor and is a sure tackler, which should turn into production at the next level. Turay needs to refine and expand his pass rushing moves, but he’d have time to do that with Big Blue with Olivier Vernon and Kareem Martin already in place.

20. Shaquem Griffin, LB, UCF

The NFL Combine superstar could be a nice addition to James Bettcher’s defense. Shaquem Griffin has great instincts as a linebacker and sideline to sideline speed (he ran the fastest 40-yard dash of any linebacker ever). He may be missing a hand but plus technique allows him to put that limitation behind him. Griffin could see time as an inside linebacker or an edge rusher with Bettcher often using him as a blitzer. One thing that’s for sure is that no one will work harder than this kid.
