The picture might give it away, however, this part of the draft sees division rivals pick back-to-back and one of the biggest names flies off the board.

Marcus Davenport . 21. 16. Scouting Report. DE . Texas San Antonio. player. Pick Analysis

The Buffalo Bills do have an urgent need for an offensive line. In this instance, they already took Sam Darnold which would then make it wise to protect him. But historically, the Bills don’t fare so well when drafting offense in the first round. Darnold is a near lock but the Bills are better off getting their o-line with the rest of the like 30 picks they have in this draft.

Davenport is going to be a solid player going in most first rounds. The Bills improved their interior defensive line by adding Star Lotulelei in free agency. Buffalo can correct the mistake that has been Shaq Lawson so far by drafting a great player and finishing their defensive line.

With all the picks they have, the Bills are in position to just go out and get the best player available.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Oklahoma. Baker Mayfield . 59. QB . 22. player

Whether in this reverse mock draft or the actual NFL draft on Thursday night, Baker Mayfield in Miami might be a literal disaster. However, the Dolphins have a need for a QB on the surface and keeping Baker in warm weather is probably going to pay off.

Miami is a party city and Baker is a party type of guy. The only flaw with Baker is his off-the-field antics and that is a concern.

But, the kid can throw and the Dolphins have no reason to not be high on him. Plus, the reverse order and taking him at 22 here makes it one of those classic high-risk high-reward kind of deals.

Alabama. player. Pick Analysis. LB . Rashaan Evans . 23 . 28. Scouting Report

If you give me Jon Gruden and a QB with a ceiling as high as Derek Carr’s then you also give me no reason to believe that the Raiders’ offense will be a problem.

Their defense, however, is a problem. The Raiders need someone who can help Khalil Mack wreak havoc on defense. Evans will be that guy. Nick Saban basically handcrafts NFL-level defenders and this pick is low risk. This is also addressing a need here for the Raiders.

Evans is bound to go in the first round no matter what draft order is happening. Oakland can get younger at a very important position by selecting him here.

Scouting Report. WR . player. 42. Pick Analysis. SMU. Courtland Sutton . 24

Okay, maybe it is just me who is sort of high on this guy but the Niners need to give Jimmy G weapons. With WRs off the board that would have made more sense, let’s stick with this. Picking late makes the 49ers settle for a player who they might not want. So they should go with a position they need.

Sutton might not be the best WR to come out of this draft but the Niners need to build around Jimmy. They have no time to wait.
