DT. 6. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Sam Houston State. P.J. Hall. 30

Getting back to the New York Jets needing to address their pass rush and having a hole left by Muhammed Wilkerson’s release, Gang Green could use another down defensive lineman. They could take a late-round chance on a small school prospect who absolutely dominated the FCS level.

Saying that P.J. Hall dominated while at Sam Houston State may even be an understatement. In four years, Hall amassed 284 total tackles, 86.5 tackles for loss, 42 sacks, nine forced fumbles, four interceptions, and 14 blocked kicks! The man simply could not be contained. Although he played Div. I-AA football, Hall’s production warrants an NFL look. Hall wasn’t invited to the NFL Combine but he showed out at his Pro Day. He has great strength, quickness, and is extremely explosive. Hall is a bit undersized for an NFL defensive tackle, but he has enough power to not be overmatched.

Scouts and mock drafts seem to be sleeping on Hall, but whichever team drafts him with come away with one of the steals of the draft. He’s even been compared to Aaron Donald! If drafted by the Jets, it won’t be long before Hall is wreaking havoc against opposing offensive linemen while lined up next to Leonard Williams.
