Week 2

If the New York Giants draft Saquon Barkley, the Penn State product and Ezekiel Elliott would have quite a running back battle here. Dez Bryant hopes to be playing for Big Blue in this game, getting revenge on the Cowboys, however, where he ends up is still uncertain.

This matchup is usually the season opener for the Giants but it’ll take place in Week 2 this year, with New York likely coming off a loss. I expect the Giants to be more competitive against Dallas than they were last year, but it will still be tough to get a win on the road.

Damon Harrison and company have kept Ezekiel Elliott in check over the last couple years and without Dez, Dak Prescott will have to focus on Jason Witten, Cole Beasley, and likely a top draft pick in the passing game. However, the Giants struggled to put pressure on Dak last season and without Jason Pierre-Paul, Big Blue’s pass rush is missing some firepower.

New York at least has Nate Solder to block Demarcus Lawrence this year, but the rest of the offensive line is still questionable. The difference will be the Cowboys being home and a potential fumble late in the game from Eli Manning.
