Picks 11-14

59. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Virginia Tech. 11. player. LB. Tremaine Edmunds

The Miami Dolphins are undergoing a culture change that has seen Jay Ajayi, Jarvis Landry, and Ndamukong Suh leave the organization over the past five months.

With quite a few holes to fill, the Dolphins can go with a “best player available at a position of need” strategy here. Miami could use a linebacker and Tremaine Edmunds is a very good one.

Some even rank Edmunds ahead of Roquan Smith as the best linebacker in the draft. Edmunds provides more pass rushing ability with a bit less instincts. With Raekwon McMillan coming back from a torn ACL that cost him his entire rookie season and Kiko Alonso already in place, adding Edmunds could complete a very good linebacking corps for Miami.

16. Scouting Report. QB. Josh Allen. 12. Pick Analysis. Wyoming. player

In all likelihood, the Buffalo Bills will trade up into the top five to draft their franchise quarterback and select Josh Rosen or Baker Mayfield. Without trades though, the Bills just need the New York Giants to pass on a quarterback in order for one of the top four signal callers to fall to them at No. 12.

Buffalo traded Cordy Glenn to the Cincinnati Bengals in order to get to this spot. They use this pick on the top remaining quarterback, Josh Allen. Allen has the biggest arm of any quarterback in the class and also has ideal size. The biggest question mark for Allen is his accuracy. A career 56.2 completion percentage does not bode well for his NFL success.

With the Bills, Allen would be able to take his time adjusting to the NFL game while newly-acquired AJ McCarron starts. Allen is a very polarizing prospect and if he lives up to the hype his supporters have created, this will be a great pick for Buffalo.

58. Pick Analysis. Washington. Vita Vea. player. 13. Scouting Report. DT

The Washington Redskins need a run stopper in the middle of their defense, especially if Saquon Barkley will be joining Ezekiel Elliott and Jay Ajayi as the opposing running backs in the NFC East.

Vita Vea has the potential to be a dominant NFL defensive lineman. A high school running back, Vea has plenty of athleticism and is a stout run defender. Combine Vea and Jonathan Allen on the defensive line with Ryan Kerrigan coming off the edge and the Redskins could cause problems for opposing offensive lines.

Josh Jackson. 14. 49. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. CB. Iowa. player

The Green Bay Packers spent their first-round pick on a cornerback last year (Kevin King) but it remains their biggest need. Trading Damarious Randall to the Cleveland Browns certainly didn’t help.

Although Denzel Ward is considered the top corner in this draft, Josh Jackson is a close second. Jackson has tremendous ball skills after leading the nation with eight interceptions in 2017 and has No. 1 corner potential.

The Packers made their first free agent splash in a long time (Jimmy Graham, Muhammad Wilkerson) but they’ve yet to address their secondary. They can’t let a player like Jackson slip past them on draft day.
