Jeremy Maclin

Here is not the biggest position of need, admittedly, but it wouldn’t hurt either. The Jets do have talent on the wide receiver depth chart, but keep in mind, there will likely be a young player quarterbacking this team sooner rather than later. At least we hope that is the case. With that said, the more talented wide receivers for that quarterback to work with the better off they will be.

Jeremy Maclin is a talented wide receiver and only 29 years old. He did some of his best work as a member of the Eagles, with two seasons that yielded him ten touchdowns. He broke the 1,000 yard mark in one season and hit in the high 900’s in the other. He is only three years removed from a 1,000 yard season with the Kansas City Chiefs. He was hampered by a groin problem in 2016 and never really carved out a niche in the Ravens offense.

He still has football left and could aid in mentoring the young Jets receiving group.

Here are four players to look at as the free agency period moves forward. Remember, it’s not always the stars that make the difference. A good team needs to have good role players as well. What do you think of these players? Are there others that you like on the list? Let us know.
