We know that the Jets have been looking to solve the quarterback problem for about 8,000 years, give or take. However, doesn’t it seem like they have been working on the edge pass rusher problem for about 6,000 years? At least to this Jets fan, the days of John Abraham seem like a lifetime ago. Those of us that are old enough to remember Mark Gastineau and friends believe that was multiple lifetimes ago. At least I do.
The great thing about this offseason is that the team has the opportunity to solve both problems at virtually the same time. Signing Mr. Cousins takes care of the first problem and they can work on the next one right here at number six.
If Bradley Chubb is available the Jets should jump and take him. He is a terror for opposing quarterbacks. The numbers tell us everything:

Those by definition are the numbers of a player that has spent his college career in the defensive backfield. According to Lance Zierlein, he…
"Looks the part. Long-limbed with broad chest, built shoulders and thick legs. Good combination of size and athleticism. Sets and holds the edge with wide base. Major disruptor who can get into gaps and drive up the field to take it off schedule."
As Bruno Mars said, “Don’t believe me? Just watch.”
Aside from the poor dancing, he works for me!
