So we move onto the continuing dialogue that is the offseason for the Jets. Mike Maccagnan is a marked man here in New York. He won’t be under just any microscope this year, he will be under one of those big scientific ones. Despite the contract extension, 2018 is the year that is going to either extend his tenure in New York or end it. The same can be said for Todd Bowles but that will be from on the field performance.

As a Jets fan, I really want to love Mike Maccagnan. Why? Because it would mean that he was the general manager that finally led my team to the Super Bowl. Now, making that big of a leap in one season is difficult. But there are steps that can be taken to set the team in the right direction. In doing this, it would make me happy to send Mike Maccagnan a valentine next year. Here are the ways he can earn that from me.
