There’s no better time of the year than NFL mock draft season! Let’s take a look at how the first three rounds could play out for the New York Giants.

NFL mock draft season continues as I take a second crack at predicting the first three rounds for the New York Giants. If you missed my first installment, you can find it here.

There was no shortage of opinions on my first Giants mock draft. Most complaints centered around waiting too long to draft an offensive lineman. Apparently, people ignored the fact that Dave Gettleman has found quality offensive lineman outside of the first round in the past.

Not to worry. I’m sticking with my vow to switch up draft strategies with each mock. After going all offensive last week and waiting on the offensive line, I addressed the offensive front early and often this week and added a prospect to Big Blue’s defense.

Still no trades this week but I did change prospect rankings. After using CBS Sports a week ago, I’ll be using Draft Wire’s prospect rankings today.

Again, these NFL mock drafts are rarely accurate once the real draft takes place. However, they give fans a chance to learn about different prospects they may not have heard of before. It also gives fans a chance to see which prospects are expected to get drafted before their team picks and which prospects are expected to be on the board when it’s their team’s turn.

Since last week’s Giants mock draft, Big Blue hired a new defensive coordinator in James Bettcher who will likely be bringing his 3-4 scheme to New York. This will bring change to the Giants defense and be taken into consideration when making defensive draft choices in mock drafts moving forward.

Now, let’s take a look at my second three-round NFL mock draft for the New York Giants!
