The 2018 NHL All-Star game takes place in Tampa Bay. The rosters are stacked with talent. So, let us make out own All-Star team with the Rangers, Devils, and Islanders players.

The NHL All-Star game on Sunday is for the entire league. It is a coincidence it takes place in Tampa who heads into the break with the most points in the NHL.

New York/New Jersey market has the privilege of having three professional hockey teams. The Rangers in Manhattan, the Islanders (who are eventually bound back to Long Island), and Jersey’s own Devils.

With so many teams in one market, it seems only natural to compile a team of All-Stars consisting of just the three New York market teams in 2017-2018.

It will be set up exactly like the Metro division team (where all these teams play) in the actual NHL All-Star game, consisting of six forwards, three defenseman, two goalies, one coach, and and added bench player.

Criteria for the list is as follows.

Players from these teams who have already been named All-Stars are automatically on the team. For the rest of the spots, stats, nostalgia, entertainment value, fundamental talents, and all the other factors which go into an All-Star selection will be considered.

Thus creating, The Empire All-Star Team

Key:

+Denotes injured but still an all-star who cannot play and does not count as a roster spot.
