Brandon Jacobs

Brandon Jacobs had plenty of opinions on Ben McAdoo, Eli Manning, and the New York Giants this past season, so he’s clearly still following football (some players take a break from the sport after retiring). Now let’s see what Jacobs has left in the tank by getting him back on the field in the XFL!

Jacobs was one of the better running backs in Giants history, amassing 5,087 yards and 60 touchdowns for Big Blue. Jacobs’s best season was all the back in 2008 when he ran for 1,089 yards and 15 touchdowns over just 13 games.

When Jacobs retired in 2013, he was coming off a season where he averaged 4.1 yards per carry and scored four touchdowns in seven games. Could there still be something left in the tank?

Jacobs was a bruiser at 6’4″ 265 lb. He’d be fun to watch as he flattened XFL defenders.

Jacobs has a decent presence on Twitter and could be a character for fans to enjoy. He also doesn’t have much of a filter on social media which would’ve at least fit in with the old XFL.

Giants fans miss the days of Brandon Jacobs and having a bell-cow running back. They could relive that glory by watching Jacobs run defenders over in the XFL.
