Vince McMahon announced on Thursday that he will be bringing back the XFL in 2020. Which former New York Giants would we love to see back on the field?

The original installment of the XFL was, well, a disaster. It lasted just one season, TV ratings plummeted after the first few weeks, and everyone involved lost a lot of money.

But it’s back! And this time, Vince McMahon vows it will be gimmick-free. McMahon and his company Alpha Entertainment are completely funding the league, giving him complete control, and he hopes to learn from his past mistakes.

The initial reaction to the announcement has been mixed. Some believe it sounds more boring than the old XFL which failed. Others are hyped. But what seems to be common is that everyone has an opinion on the news. No one seems to not care.

McMahon has two years to figure everything out and hopefully, he comes up with a quality product. There aren’t too many flaws with the NFL game but there are also a few improvements that can be made.

While we wait for the 2020 launch, it’s fun for us to imagine who could play in the future XFL. The common names flying around the Internet include Johnny Manziel, Tim Tebow, and Colin Kaepernick, who could all be entertaining in their own right.

However, which former New York Giants would we want to see in the XFL?

Who do you miss watching on Sundays? Who do you think still has something left in the tank?

I took to Twitter to see what fans were thinking and I got some good suggestions. After combining those suggestions with my ideas, we have a pretty good list of former New York Giants who we want to see in the XFL!
