There’s no better time of the year than NFL mock draft season! Let’s take a look at how the first three rounds could play out for the New York Jets.

As I said in my New York Giants mock draft, I love NFL mock draft season! Despite the small level of accuracy, it’s fun to write and fun for fans to read.

These pretend drafts are very rarely correct, especially ones in January. However, they give fans a chance to learn about different prospects they may not have heard of before. It also gives fans a chance to see which prospects are expected to get drafted before their team picks and which prospects are expected to be on the board when it’s their team’s turn.

If you follow my work, you’ve probably figured out that I’m a New York Giants fan. I haven’t written anything about the New York Jets since the summer. However, I love NFL mock drafts so much that I’m going to start mocking the first three rounds for the Jets as well!

Just like with my Giants mock drafts, I will use different strategies for each one. No two will be the same. Some will be entirely offensive and others entirely defensive. I will also switch up which website’s prospect rankings I use. And eventually, I will integrate trades (because the likelihood of getting these predictions right wasn’t low enough already).

I will be using CBS Sports prospect rankings today and won’t be integrating trades just yet.

Each pick will fill an immediate hole for the Jets and don’t forget that Gang Green has two second-round picks because of the Sheldon Richardson trade with the Seattle Seahawks.

So without further ado, here is my first three-round NFL mock draft for the New York Jets!
