Round 1, Pick 19: Justin Pugh, Offensive Tackle, Syracuse

Original Pick: Justin Pugh, Offensive Tackle, Syracuse

Justin Pugh was one of the few picks that Reese got right in the middle of his tenure. An unheralded offensive tackle out of Syracuse, Pugh lived up to his first-round selection despite widely being considered a reach in the first frame of the draft. Pugh earned a spot on the NFL All-Rookie team and showed excellent versatility along the offensive line, splitting time at both right tackle and left guard in his five years in the league.

Pugh is slated to be a free agent this offseason, which leaves new general manager Dave Gettleman with a tough decision to make. However, the Pro Football Focus standout should be one of the few Reese holdovers that remain on the new regime’s roster. He could be a cornerstone for the new era in Big Blue.
