Here are the final player evaluations for the New York Jets along the defensive line.

It’s offseason evaluation time once again. The New York Jets are setting up for what will prove to be a pivotal offseason, especially for Todd Bowles and Mike Maccagnan. There are big holes that the team has to fill. The major one is the quarterback of course, but the Jets need help all over the football field. The front office has work to be done.

The first part of it is evaluating the players that are here. How and where is the roster upgraded? Who needs to go? In order to fix the team, the first thing is to figure out where the team currently stands. Going through that “process” (sorry for the term Jets fans), will set the brass up for what direction to take free agency and the draft. One could argue that the most important part of the process is the plan, and this is where the plan begins.

So what are we going to do? Continue to give our opinions as to where the team is, of course. What else can we do while the team is not on the field? Tell the team what to do. It’s what we do best as fans. We have been going back and evaluating the players and position groups based on the 2017 season. Most recently we looked at the offensive line. Today we move to the other side of the ball and look at the defense, led of course by Kacy Rodgers.

Let’s get to the evaluations.
