Ereck Flowers

Yes, Ereck Flowers finally showed improvement in 2018. But no, he isn’t the New York Giants future left tackle.

Despite having a significant streak of not allowing a sack for over 300 pass blocking snaps in 2017, Flowers was still below average when it comes to left tackles.

Could he give right tackle a shot? Or move inside to guard? Sure, but his attitude problem will persist across all offensive line positions.

Flowers was inactive in Week 17 and although he claims it was due to a groin injury, there are reports that it was due to his attitude and the fact that he “checked out” during the week leading up to the season finale.

A team cannot win with players bailing on them. Bobby Hart got the boot because of his attitude problems and Flowers should get the same treatment. His first-round pick status should not prevent the Giants from moving on.

Top 10 pick or undrafted free agent, if you don’t want to play, we don’t want you to play. After such a disappointing 2017 season, the New York Giants need a culture change as well as an improved offensive line. Moving on from Ereck Flowers would be killing two birds with one stone.
