Thairo Estrada

Can play: 2B, 3B, SS

2017 AA stats: 122 games, .301/.353/.392, 19 doubles, four triples, six home runs, 48 RBI

2017 AFL stats: 20 games, .342/.381/.430, two doubles, one triple, one home run, 10 RBI

The one player on this list who didn’t get much attention prior to the end of the 2016 season, Estrada showed the Yankees why they signed him out of Venezuela in 2012 at the age of 16. Now, the 21-year old and the Yankees No. 16 prospect surpassed any expectations that we had for him, and made his presence felt in the organization enough to be one of the Yankees prospects to go to the Arizona Fall League.

He has more of an outside chance to become the starting second or third baseman, but due to his presence on the 40-man roster, he may have a better chance to earn a spot on the bench to start the season.
